Installation, Maintenance and User’s Manual


READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE INSTALLATION AND KEEP THIS MANUAL NEAR THE ALARM FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.

MK-AHG993022 Input/output Module (will be referred as Input/output Module in the text) is compatible with JB-QG-15-AHG9600、9630 Fire Alarm controlling System manufactured by Xi’an Fire Alarm Co Limited. The Input/output Module is used to provide a set of active DC24V output signals and accept a set of passive switch input signals. The module takes up an addressing location on AHG bus.

Signals will be sent back to the controlling system once there are short circuit or open circuit between the connecting components and Input/output Modules.The controlling system can code the relay unit in the Input/output Module or do offline setup via laptop.

3、Structural Characteristics and Operating Principle

1. Appearance of MK-AHG993022Input/Output module

2. Operating Principle

MK-AHG993022 Input/output Module is an addressing spot in the bus of the JB-QG-15-AHG9600 and JB-QG-15-AHG 9630 Fire Alarm Controlling System.The standard input terminal of the module receives the switch return signals as well as receives the fire alarm input signals from the standard input unit. The Input/output Module reports the actioning switch return signals, or the fire alarm signals of the unit, using the module’s own address to the  JB-QG-15-AHG960or/and JB-QG-15-AHG 9630 Fire Alarm Controlling linkage System. 2Signals will be sent back to the  JB-QG-15-AHG9600 or/and JB-QG-15-AHG 9630 Fire Alarm Controlling linkage Ststem once there are short circuit or open circuit between the connecting components and Input/output Modules.

4、Installation and Wiring

Warning: Please switch off the power before installation

Attention: Reserved cable should be longer than 15 cm.

2. Installation:

a、 Input/output Module can be mounted on the ceiling or the wall which is about 1.5m above the floor, close to the controlling system, for easy wiring purpose.

b、 Before installation, please check if the outer of the Input/output Module is complete, and if the components and marks are all included.

c、 Please make sure the type of the Input/output Module and installation spots are the same as in the manual

d、 Please remove the retaining screw M4, fix the bottom of theInput/output Module to the embedded 86 type junction box.

e、 Connect the bus cable properly to  the Input/output Module terminals according to the requirements

f、 Fix the top of the Input/output Module to the bottom of the Input/output Module installed with M4 screws. The installation is now complete.

3. Wiring:

a、 The two bus cables for the Input/output Module should be unshielded twisted pair cable with its sectional area ≥1.0mm2, covered by metal valve or  fire-retardant pipe. In environment of strong electromagnetic interference, shielded cables are recommended.

b、 The total electrical resistance of the bus loop conductor should be less than 50Ω; the total length of the bus loop conducting cable is max 1500m at the input terminal and 2000m max at the output terminal.

5、testing

Warning: Please keep the power off until all units are properly installed.

1. Testing must be done to the Input/output module once installation or/and regular inspection is completed.

2. Before testing, all related departments must be notified,meanwhile the system maintenance will be carried out and the module will stop working. In case of unnecessary false alarm linked to other alarms, the operating network relating to the tested area should be cut off.

3. Testing Checklist

topology identificationWhen the installation and wiring is properly done, the controlling unit will automatically verify the Input/output modules, to make sure the number of modules installed are the same as stated in the layout design.

After topology identification, the input and output link can be composed to a random input output module to see if the alarm is activated when input is entered and if electrical relay unit works when output is entered.

4. After testing, please notify the related departments of resumption of the system if the testing results are satisfied,

5. Please fix the input output modules which do not work based on the “trouble shooting” and “ repair and maintenance” instructions and then test the modules again. If problems can’t be resolved, please return to the manufacturers for repairing.

6、Operation Instructions

The input output module has been imbedded with unique barcode; no manual coding required, which will reduce the project difficulty level and shorten the project duration.

After installation, please do the following:

1. Topology Identification

The controlling unit can automatically read the input and output module address and identify the loop structure when the topology identification is requested from the controlling system.

2. Output Alarm and Linkage

After topology identification, the input and output link can be composed to a random input output module to see if the alarm is activated when input is entered and if electrical relay unit works when output is entered.

7、 Trouble Shooting and Repairing

If the system does not work, please check the external connection first; if the external connection is correct, please check the electric panel to see if there are any evidence of rosin joint, scorch or other abnormality.

Main troubles and resolutions:

If communication with the controlling system fails, please check the connection between the modules and the controlling system.

If the module still does not work, please return to the manufacturer for repairing.

8、

1. The input and Output module should be stored properly to prevent from dust, humidity and corrosion.

2. Maintenance need to be done at least once per year to ensure proper operation.

3. Alarm and linkage function simulation testing must be carried out every 6 months to make sure the input and output modules works normally.

4. Before the testing,all related departments must be notified,meanwhile the system maintenance will be carried out and the fire alarm will stop working. In case of unnecessary false alarm linked to other alarms, the network cooperative function relating to the tested area should be cut off.
