Attention: Please take a few minutes to thoroughly read this user’s guide which should be saved for future reference and passed on to any subsequent owner.

1.Introduction

This user manual is aimed at the Premises Management responsible for the fire alarm system and provides guidance on how to operate the system, undertake routine testing, and filling in the log book as required by the local law. After the system has been installed and commissioned by a Competent Person, the Premises Management for the site must ensure that all users of the system have read this manual and are trained on its use.

1.1 Description

SG-AHG993025 fire alarm can alert people in the premise with siren and flashing lights at the time of fire.

The A SG-AHG993025 fire alarm can be connected to the JB-QG-15-AHG9600 Fire Alarm Controlling Linkage System  (with two DC24V power points), only taking one spot of the network.

With super-bright LED flashing light, eye-catching display, long life, low power consumption, the sound level up to 85dB, SG-AHG993025 fire alarm can alert people of the fire easily.

The push and pull terminals are used in the connection which make installation easier and quicker.

3. INSTALLATION AND WIRING INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING: BEFORE INSTALLATION, PLEASE SWITCH OFF THE POWER AND MAKE SURE ALL THE BASES HAVE BEEN PROPERLY INSTALLED WITH CORRECT CABLES

1. Please mount the alarm on the wall, and locate it at a minimum of 0.2m from the ceiling

2.The alarm can be visibly installed in the embedded box. please see figure 2

Wiring Requirements

a.BV power cord is requiredof which the sectional area should be equal to or above 1.5mm2. RVS twisted-pair cable is required for signal cordof which the sectional area should be equal to or above1.0mm2.

b.The total electric resistance of the bus loop conductor is less than 50Ω, the total length of the bus loop conductor is at most 2000 m.

5.Testing

Warning:please keep the power off until the installation is completed.

1.1 Testing to SG-AHG993025 Fire Alarm must be done once installation is complete; inspection and testing must be carried out annually since then.

1.2 Before testing the SG-AHG993025 Fire Alarm,all related departments must be notified,meanwhile the system maintenance will be carried out and the fire alarm will stop working. In case of unnecessary false alarm linked to other alarms, the network operating function relating to the tested area should be cut off.

1.3 Testing checklist

· Visual inspection and functional testing of fire alarm control panel components and power supplies

· Test if the lights and sounders operated correctly

· Test if lights and sounders are visible and Audible

1.4 Reset the SG-AHG993025 Fire Alarm and notify the related departments of resumption of the fire alarm if the testing results are satisfied,

1.5 If the testing results are not satisfied, please return the product to the provider or manufacturer to repair.

6.Operation

6.1 Loop Connection

Before wiring, check the status of the bus, which connects to the fire alarm controlling panel and units(sound and strobe fire alarm or the manual fire alarm buttons),measure the insulation electric resistance between the bus of different loops and the insulation electric resistance between of the bus and the ground, calculate the loading status of the loop.

The Length of the loop, the tightness of the thrum and the connection of the wire connecting terminal will affect the electrical resistance of the loops. If the electrical resistance of the loops is too large, the loop will not work properly. The requirements of electrical resistance for the loops are as follows

Tree Type Wiring MethodWhen there is no segregating unit in the loop, connect the + and – of the two bus of the last two units,and then check the electric resistance of A+ and A- at the start. If the value is less than or equal to 130Ω,it is correct; otherwise, check the wire. Please restore the wiring and remove the short circuit connection after testing.

Ring Type Wiring MethodWhen there is no segregating unit in the loop, the electric resistance between A+ at the start and B+ at the end should be no more than50Ω,and the electric resistance between A- at the start and B-at the end should be no more than 100Ω. Otherwise please check the wiring.

Connect to the loop bus based on the description of the connecting terminal.

6.2 Unit Recognition and Addressing

Turn on the controlling system, click on the User Menu on the screen, you will see a conversation box, enter the second level password (originally222), then select addressing setting on the left, you will come to the setup interface; click on the System Setting in the menu or the Shortcut, you will come to the card type setting interface.

Select the slot number of the loop where the unit locates, and set up the slot type as loop card (please see figure 4)

Click on card set up and come to the loop card set up interface (please see figure 5)In loop card setup interface, if the wiring is ring type, click on “Topology Identification”,the controlling system will automatically read all the information of this loop units If the serial numbers do not exist in the history record data, the red light will show up; if the loop is installed correctly and the data is also correct, the system will prompt if you wish to address all the units automatically, click on “yes”, the system will address the identified locations into the units automatically.

If the wiring is tree type, click on “unit Identification,the controlling system will automatically read all the information of this loop units. If the serial numbers do not exist in the history record data, the red light will show up; if the loop is installed correctly and the data is also correct, and the loop address table is in the editable status, the testing staff should change the locations and click on unit addressing button to complete the addressing.

If the repeated locations are entered, the data checking will end up as error. When save and exit, the text box of“key  violation”will appear. Please note, the locations of the units must be between 1-255. When the addressing is completed, the location will be in an increment sequence.

7.Trouble Shooting and Repair

If the system does not work, please check the external connection first; if the external connection is correct, please check the electric panel to see if there are any evidence of rosin joint, scorch or other abnormality.

If communication with the controlling system fails, please check the connection between the fire alarm and the controlling system.

Attention If the it still will not work, please return the machine to the manufacturer for repairing.

8.Maintenance and Service

1. SG-AHG993025 Fire Alarm should be stored properly to prevent from dust, humidity and corrosion. Please install SG-AHG993025 Fire Alarm just before testing.

2. Maintenance need to be done at least once per year to ensure proper operation.

3. Simulation testing to SG-AHG993025 Fire Alarm must be carried out every six months to ensure the fire alarm functions properly.

4. Before the testing to SG-AHG993025 Fire Alarm,all related departments must be notified,meanwhile the system maintenance will be carried out and the fire alarm will stop working. In case of unnecessary false alarm linked to other alarms, the network operating function relating to the tested area should be cut off.
